Structural remediation and pool reconstruction at Villa Long Island, with a new owner’s suite above the carpark and a cobblestone-pattern concrete driveway.

The Project

requirements of the site.

Villa Long Island required substantial structural intervention after deterioration of the concrete supporting the house and swimming pool. Inadequately protected reinforcement had corroded, causing the surrounding concrete to crack and break away.

Samui Modern Construction demolished the failed pool structure down to the original foundations and built a purpose-designed reinforced-concrete replacement. The new pool structure also helped brace the existing house.

Our work extended to constructing an additional owner’s suite above the carpark and installing a cobblestone-pattern concrete driveway, adding accommodation and improving the property’s entrance.

Design works were by Orchid House Interiors, with finishing works by Western Standards Property Management.
